Get an OpenSea API key

Where to get the key that selling and offer acceptance use, and how to add it.

Sign in at opensea.io with any wallet.
Open Settings → Developer and create an API key.
Copy it to Settings → API keys on this platform. The key is checked and stored encrypted.

Some plans use the platform's shared keys; then your own key is optional but gives you a separate rate limit.

If selling reports rate limit errors, adding your own key usually fixes them.
